I'm new to the 5th gen scene and bought a 1SS about two weeks ago. I'm having a hard time transitioning from my VW GLI 4cyl turbo to the V-8 Camaro as far as engine noises are concerned and I’m afraid my OCD is kicking in pretty hard. I don't want to sound like a wus but this is my dream car and my fourth Camaro so I have really babied this car with only 700+ miles on it so far. The problem is that I can hear this slight ticking noise from inside the ****pit while driving that increases with the RPMS and is somewhat annoying. Anyway it's of course louder with the hood up. I took it to Bentley Pontiac here in Huntsville and had them give it the once over real quick last weekend and they said that was just injector noise and not to worry about it. A couple of days later I ran into a nice couple at Chili's driving a black SS here in town and I politely asked the guy driving about the noise and he said his makes the same noise but since he was heading into the restaurant and we were leaving so I didn't bother him about asking to hear what his sounded like. I don't want to come off as sounding creepy but is there any way any I might could meet up with another SS owner here in Huntsville just to listen to his or her car or to have them listen to mine to give me some piece of mind? I'm genuinely concerned and would appreciate any help anyone could provide.
