Just got my ******** 12" sub & Kicker ZX300.1 amp today. Followed the instructions (I got with the kit) for the physical install, but I don't have anything as far as wiring goes? Could someone PM me the link??? Questions like: Should I wire my sub in series or parallel, what 2 rca jacks (of the available 4) on the harness do I use, where does the power wire from the harness connect, & a few others. I plan on trying to call Steve tomorrow, but I am not sure if they are open on Saturday. Thanks in advance

The 300.1 is stable to 2ohms. What are the specs on the sub? If it's a dvc 4, go parallel, if it's a dvc 1, go series. If it's a svc 2, well, that one is too easy, lol. If it's anything else, get a different sub.

Are the rca outputs on the harness labeled? Also, do they fade with the radio? If they fade, I'd grab the fronts, if they are full range, and then fade the radio that way. Should help the sound stage. I think there is a diagram floating around here somewhere with the wire codes as well.

Like mentioned above, the power wire coming from the harness is for the remote turn on for the amp.

Thanks for the help guys, I got the sub successfully installed yesterday & it sounds GREAT! It took a little longer than I wanted, but all is good. The one 12" sub with the 300.1 amp is all I need a maybe a little more

I am really glad I bought the remote knob for the sub as different songs need a little more or less thump!

It's been in my living room for over a month. The wait is the problem. That and I need to get my LOC or Bitone.

i got the kicker 400.1 amp.

Y2K, are you installing a single sub or duels? My 300.1 gives my 12" sub all I want plus!!

single 10" sub. one of the reasons i got the 400 is the variable gain, variable boost and variable crossover on the top of the unit.

Awesome, also +100 on the remote knob.

My GF loves bass and feeling it pound but my mother hates it. So the remote knob saves my ass.
