I would get the whole kit if I could afford it. I know for a fact that won't happen any time soon. I'll barely be able to afford the Camaro in under 3 years. :(

My rationale for buying the ground effects is that it further adds to the Camaro's sheer badassery.

I am hoping I might be able to get the front air dam or some other version in the future. There is nothing like seeing the ground effects in person.

For that price, you could get an entire bodykit, it does look nice, but a bodykit would look much better and cost less.
For example, the 3D carbon Boy Racer Kit for the 05 stang, my bro is saving for it, beautiful.

You know I thought I was sold on the GFX kit for the camaro. I'd read in several other threads some (what I thought) were valid concerns about being able to lower the camaro to an appropriate aggressive stance for a muscle car.

I was thinking that with both the GFX and whatever amount of lower I was able to do might get the car to where I think it should be.

Notice that I said where "I" think it should be. Lower than stock but not so low that I'm punching holes in my gas tank or ripping my exhaust. (yes, did that when I was kid with a previous lowrider)

I agree 100% with your post. The Camaro looks even more agressive with the GFX, and the rear section is so much more fitting to the rear of the vehicle. The taillights aren't round and the GFX rear diffusor's exhaust ports match much much better.

I'd love to add it to my order, but with them not being available in body color I'm not sure I want them.

I'm sure an aftermarket company will come out with a near identical (or identical even) set for less $ that will come in primered finish so they can be painted body color.

The rear piece is all I would want, but I can't imagine what the price would be when they list the taller bolt on rear spoiler at $620. Seems that you ought to get a credit for $300 for the crummy little factory one then.

But I will find out if the front and rear diffusers actually work, I want to run this car in SCCA so if it doesn't work I'll find an aftermarket that does. But Dovetail is definitely going on.
