I agree 10psi should be a nice upgrade. but I could have sworn the stock ls3 motor that ESS tested, used a 105mm pulley and made around 10psi with the V3si. It was a stock cam, stock head motor with longtubes. Made 635 i think. its on their youtube video.

I would think the same pulleys would make less boost with your ls7 top, but Ted knows what he's talking about. It's an easy swap anyway. Good luck buddy.

Hope you have E85 available nearby. I know my LS3 centri loves it. I run 2 gallons 93oct with 14 gallons E85 for about 60-65% ethanol. From what I have read no more power is made about 60% ethanol. Bad news is no traction in first three gears... Got slicks for the track though.

Yeah, I just traded back in the 110mm pulley that was included for a 100mm. I am going to leave the 105mm on for now and see what it produces. Kris at Jannettys said it should be around 10psi. If its low, I'll throw the 100mm on

I think my fuel system wont handle E85. It is around me, but was going to wait and see how far I take this before doing the E85 switch

Correct. 60% has near all of the power gain. I like running 70% for added knock protection.

So this would have to be properly tuned for right? I couldnt just mix in some E for added octane right?

Conrats - you will ahve a beast that has no traction in first three gears. Which is quite fun. You would need a alcohol sensor and tune to mix in E85. It can't be added as an octane booster by itself. One can of Boostane to a full tank makes 99 oct though...cheap insurance relatively speaking.

Thanks for that reminder Bo - I will recalculate...or not since it seems the local E85 out of the pump comes out E70 in reality.

Ok, thats what I figured. So, would using boostane for a safety factor cost any power? Im curious if I'm tuned for 93, but am running the equivalent to 99, would it cost me power?

I’ve been adding in a can of the royal purple version per fill up and notice a difference. Car runs smoother and harder under wot and it’s $10 a bottle compared to $20+ for boostane.

My only concern with Royal Purple was they are not very clear in how much it raises the octane. Maybe on purpose I wonder. Boostane is very clear on what mix raises to what octane number and they claim their formula stays in suspension better than othe brands which settle out. Who knows for sure though...

Boostane is a superior product and will be trying it out when I go out racing. But for daily tearing up the streets it does the job.

So finished the car up today. Had to install an aem wideband setup that interfaces with hp tuners. Unfortunately the one I had bought prior did not. So got it completely installed and also finished the JMS boost a pump. So on to the BAP. There is a couple ways to install this. I chose to use the provided harness and plug directly into my gas pedal harness. It just plugs in between and has a single wire that hangs there. It will get another wire plugged in to it from the jms unit. I ran mine directly from the back, under thecarpet and into the center console base. Was easy.

As for the rest of the jms wiring, the heavy black wire on the unit will go directly to a ground. I installed mine on the negative side of the battery. You are left with a heavy white and a heavy red. I ran them over to the FPCM mounted in the pass side rear and installed it onto the heaviest wire in the harness. t a red with a white chaser. The jms white wire will go on the module side of that red wire with a white chaser and the jms heavy red will go to the harness side of that factory wire. Pics

what can male betta fish live with
