Anybody running LG cams?
Wondering what people have to say about the g6x3 or g6x4 cams 1/4 mile performance etc. Can't seem to find anything on the g6x4 cam if the even make that cam...

g6x3 is a really aggressive cam as it is, was making about 505rwhp threw an m6. So pretty sure the g6x4 would be for a bigger cube motor. Never got it down the 1/4 though

Just fbo, and UD pulley.
Yeah it was pretty streetable. It shook the car like a madman at the light lol. Only problem I ever had was getting into 6th gear going under 65 mph, it would buck from the low RPM After a year of abuse it did eat up one of my lifter, seen a couple 5th gen with that cam do the same. Not sure how you would avoid that, to be honest |

I mostly track my car so I don't know if I like the idea of it eating lifters... from the cams I have herd this one sounds the best to me. The corvette forums they seem to like this cam so that's what turned me on to it..
I'm not a big fan of the rhythmic chopping.... not sure what else to call it. I like the old school cam sound |

Yeah I guess mine happened mostly due to me daily driving it, putting 50 miles a day on a car took it's toll. And the roller tip on one of them got chewed up. Perhaps after market lifters would stop this, but not sure.

When replacin a cam lifters should be replaced too(unless lifters are like less that 5k or so....)high lift/duration cams can run LS7 lifters but some after market have high rpm features for extra $$$...also rest of valve train needs to be spec, push rod length is critical!...good springs and a trunnion upgrade( I went with Powell bronze and still have stock cam)...properly broken in and with regular oil changes these combos should last long unless abused by over rev'in....good luck....

Does lg make a good kit? Or should I buy the springs and push rods etc from someone else and just the cam from lg?

I personally like BTR, but that's just me. I loved the cam, but I'm on twins now. Really only reason I changed out the cam
