ANYONE MAX OUT A D1 ON STOCK BOTTOM END?
Just curious if anyone on here has maxed out a D1 on their stock bottom end. Ive done bigger heads and head studs and just want to see if the bottom end can handle it. Im gonna find out either way just wanted to check.

How much psi/HP is a D1 capable of putting up?
When I discussed the issue with my shop there was more concern about HP than psi on the bottom end. I suppose more HP generates more heat and that is the concern? I don't have a D1, but anyway you shake it I am running 900+ HP on a stock bottom end. Other than some "spirited" driving once or twice on the street I haven't really tested this setup, but that is about to change. I will be taking it to the track on Sat 8/26 to see what it will do when I hammer down on this thing. Guess I will see if it holds together after making several runs.

the psi and tune will determine how it holds together. I'm running a 3.4 pulley on my p1 making 11# at 6700 I could still spin the blower another 7-8000 rpm before it's maxed. This winter I'm going to take it back for the d1x upgrade. As long as the tune is on should be ok and I should mention I wouldn't hurt to run either meth or in my case e85.

Procharger told me the 3.4 pulley will put me 12-13 psi. I should be 850+

I say do it! If the fuel and tuning is right it will be find. Like anything else, if you beat on it everyday something may break or maybe nothing will happen. That's just the risk you take when hot rodding though.

The pulley and belt should be here any day. Then I have to schedule a day with Mike Norris for tuning. I rarely drive on the street it's mostly track. So it will get beat on. I'll post dyno results and track times. At 660hp I went 7.0 1/8 and 10.81 1/4.

A pulley and belt is cheap HP!! Hope your drive train and fuel system will take the extra 150 hp!

I have the Texas speed blower cam. I'm on 93 octane with the LPE Dual pumps and 80lb injectiors.

Pumps are good for the power on 93, but you may need meth to safely get 800 rwhp.
