I probably couldn't count all the posts I've read over this last year where you and Pro Stock John have popped up, so by now I knew exactly what modifications to do. I've done my homework, and am very excited for the results. When you say SS4.5, what did you do differently? Smaller/custom LSA?

LOL.

I forget if you ordered the rod mod intake, I'm a big fan of that. I've seen some dyno sheets from other companies showing additional 8-10rwhp.

Nope, John, no rod mod yet. I sorely need to upgrade the suspension before I go back and start nailing down those extra ponies.

Rod-Mod is such cheap $$$/hp - if you gotta re-tune the car already you might as well get that on there. It isn't just about the peak gain, the rod mod picks up big time mid-range power.

LOL!! Yea Pro Stock talks ALOT!!

I had SS4 but then a lifter decided to collapse on me and took at the cam lobe as well. So now I have SS4.5 which is nothing much different.

Just opening the intake about the same spot, closing a little later. Exhaust opening is much sooner. A tad more overlap. Nothing major tho.

Did you notice any differences in performance/idle lope?

Ordered my BMR trailing arms today. I'd rather play it safe with my axles and avoid the wheel hop. And so the suspension upgrade journey begins!

For what it's worth, sub-frame bushings (I went to solids) make an AMAZING difference in the feel of the car. 2010-2011 cars had the softest subframe bushings of all, and you'd be amazed how much the cradle travels when loading/unloading the drive line, and cornering. Just something to consider as you head down that road - they are a major contributor to wheel hop in these cars.

The subframe bushings are actually next on the list. Thats good to hear. So you went with the spherical bushings as opposed to the polyurethanes then?

Lope is same. Performance difference is too little to determine. Runs GREAT tho!!

Mine are the solid aluminum bushings that Pegasus sells. I've watched this video a few times and it sold me I wanted to go full solid. There is a video of the BMR poly ones also on youtube, and they are way better than stock, but still have a good amount of give to them by comparison.

I did a write up if you're interested. https://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=535425

Very nice write up. Here is the link to the solid subframe bushings, as Pfadt is now aFe Control and produces the same bushings, they just take more time to find.

https://afepower.com/afe-power-450-4...t-set#overview

I may go this route as I want to invest heavily in suspension upgrades.

Update

Yesterday I made the drive down to Jacksonville, Arkansas, and met some of the crew at GPI. I was greeted by James. He walked me through the shop past many imposing-looking cars, over to Ryan (Rhino79), who was busy porting an intake manifold. Ryan and I talked tuning specifics for a few, then James and I went over the modifications/my trunk full of parts. I am very excited to pick up the car this Friday!

GPI did all my work too. Good choice. Curious why you bought all the parts and delivered them with the car. Why not let GPI do everything?
