New Engine

So apparently my piston rings are shot and so is my thermostat. Among some other issues, my mechanic suggested a rebuild.

Until his rebuilder said prices on a crate engine would be cheaper.

So I’m getting a new engine on a V6 with 135k.

Anyone have any suggestions on new engines/rebuilt/remanufactured engines for this?

Also probably going to delete the cats and replace a radiator too, since we’re in there.

Try Tracy Lewis. He's considered by many to be an authority in these engines, and sells a lot of rebuilt 3.6's. https://tracylewisperformance.com
