Random Sluggish

Hey guys, I've noticed here recently when I really get on it randomly it takes off very sluggish.. almost taking a two or three seconds to really get up and go.

Any tips?

Auto or manual transmission? My automatic pretty much always seems "laggy".

Have you tried cleaning the throttle body? Might just be some crappy gas too.

My experience is the camaro will be sluggish if the RPM is below 2800. When mine is below 2800 is feels sluggish for a few seconds until the rpms reach over 2900 and then it goes quickly from there on. Most of the torqe is above 2900 rpm. If I want to do sprited driving I make sure I'm always above 2900 rpms. Mine is a M6.

Auto, no performance mods. Lighter rims is the only real difference.

Get the vm ax ported throttle body it'll really help with the low end torque what you are feeling is that "dead spot" evey one talks about

New ported throttle body and an intake... you'll love it.

It's legit a stock throttle body, from an lfx and you can't tell the difference. I don't think most dealers would even notice, so I say no. Also with the Cai it's gunna kick ass man. I've got a bbk Cai w/ the vmax. Next performance mod I'm stuck on is either solo hfc's or 18" tsw's because I've got these ss 20's and I want to loose the weight asap

Forgot to mention obviously it's been ported on the inside, but nothing externally on it has changed so in less one where actually looking specifically if it was machined you couldn't tell

even with the throttle body, i too get random sluggish acceleration. I do find it runs better with 93 Shell compared to any other brand, but still get that for no reason.

well OP like me you have the 2ls...and honestly the rear end gear ratio is terrible in our models.....i wish my car had a different rear end...atleast a single turbo but twins would be nice ...and weighed about 300-400 pounds less....if chevy can do that with the next camaro then there is no reason why they shouldnt be pushing these things out the door even more so....i mean that would be a extremely appealing package (thats what she said).

I installed a axle back system yesterday.. Its probably all in my HEAD but it feels like its actually responding a bit better.. Then again it might just be me loving the sound having a permagrin
