I am really really really starting to hate that people actually think this way. The simple answer is.......because WE (as in people who bought a 1LE but might never track it) WANTED too. Freaking simple as that. Why did Viper owners buy Vipers and never take them to a track?? Why did some Porsche, Ferrari & Lambo buyers never take theirs to a track?? Why do some 14 & 15 Z28 owners never track theirs??? Blah Blah freaking Blah already. Too many of these dumb threads asking the same DUMB question. WHO CARES. Its not YOUR car dont worry about it!!

While I may not get why someone wouldn't want to track their 1LE, I am glad they buy them all the same. It means GM will keep producing them so those of us who do track them can have some fun!

Because it is one of the best bang for the buck packages on modern cars. The eLSD and magride are worth it alone. Why do people buy proches and lambos yet street drive them?

It's just the best bang for the buck overall, especially in the looks department. It really looks like a $70k+ car

To be honest, I would have ended up modifying a regular Camaro to be where the 1LE starts at, either way. It makes more sense to me to purchase a car that was setup 99% of where I wanted it to be from the start. The road presence, feel and general capabilities are what I always wanted in a car, track car or not.

I would definitely buy cars like the zl1 1le, manual porsche gt3, and the new grandsport (my 3 current favorite cars) and feel totally comfortable not tracking them (if i could afford them that is lol). Its apparent that this is my logic due to the fact that i daily drive my ss 1le with all modes on track except for steering and throttle. I love the feeling of being on rails on the way to work. Its my way of experiencing what i paid for - a capable race/track car.

One day I’ll sell the 1le and buy something equally as irresponsible for the street because it’s fun and it’s my money.

No need in saying my mind, as other non-tracking 1LE owners have already made the point.
