So I was pricing it out, and I got a quote from IPS for their TT kit. Total price (their basic kit + tune) with installation comes out to almost 9k and that doesn't even include me shipping my car out there which would be another grand. That seems a bit outrageous....I can't imagine if I just did a custom turbo setup it would come out to anywhere near that price....?

It'd easily be that price. Take the ipf kit for example, it's usually about 6 grand new, add another grand for install and you're at 7k for a sc kit. This is a twin kit. The extra 2 grand is easily the price of the second turbo and extra bit of piping

Wow that's crazy....maybe I'll have to look at a single turbo setup since it gets the same power right?

My car on what I believe they call their basic tune made 422 whp. I added a boost controller to the setup so I could "safely" bump the boost from the 8.5# it had to 12-14#

$$$

singles can be same power at the high end. twins have more low end power.

To be 100% honest, I think the IPS system is a great bargain for what you're getting. Just remember that if you decide to do a custom kit, you're going to be paying for the shop to basically figure out how to run all the piping when all that's already been researched by IPS

How much more did it cost you for the the extra boost?

Ya I know, which is why I want to get their kit. Maybe I can just have a local shop install it...
