Most aren't daily driven so would be easy to find a nice one. Buy used to save big time cash. Then give it a good detail.... perfect way to "bond" with your new baby. It'll be just like a new car and you'll have plenty of gas money.

Hell yes I would, I bought my 2010 in 2011 and it was loaded and perfect. Usually few downsides to this on a new car.

Until I win the lottery, I will never buy a brand new car again. No sense in paying $45k for a brand new car and as soon as you drive off the lot it depreciates $5k. I bought my '14 1LE SS for $32k in 2015. The window sticker was $42k brand new. That's just my two cents though.

If you can buy when they are running the deals, buying new is the way to go. If you don't have flexibility in your timing and you're not able to get a deal then go used.

For me personally, I like going new when dropping over $35k

Mainly because I specifically want green I need to go used. As long as its not modded too much and looks to have been taken care of used should be fine. realistically a small percentage of the people that own these will use them for their full intention.

I do keep looking at new ones just to keep an eye out there but... I want green and they will be few and far between.

Used is fine if you check it over good.
I've seen garage queens for sale along with fast and furious victims, just look at it real good.

I totally agree. There are several very nice lightly used 17 1LEs for sale in this forum with asking prices of 35k and less, we all know what happens to asking prices. It looks like the 1LE just like the standard SS is going to take a 25% hit in the 1st year and another 10-15% year two. Buying the car used will save you from that financial beating, the depreciation from that point on will be much more gradual, and much nicer to your checking account. You are still buying essentially a new car with full warranty.
