Mileage of DI cars here with no catch can

I wanted to start a thread on how many here run a direct injection engine with NO catch can and what your mileage is.
The general forum has a post about an LFX going 360,000 miles without one. Impressive!

Me,
2012 LFX with 14,600 and no can.
I have Seafoamed it twice thru the throttle body at 5k and 10k.

Get a can. Save your motor.

2012 LFX, 50 k miles, Catch Canned and Clean Side Separator.

Never Seafoamed.

Guess its all where you WANT to spend your money. Preventing the dirty, or cleaning the dirty?

2015 RS,27,000 miles,no catch can, never cleaned but oil changed every 5k.wanted to put a catch can on it but dealer said it would void the warrantee.just wondering, does the catch can function mostly when the car is being hammered on and work due to higher RPM?

Before I threw a catchcan on, I had about 28k on my LFX. Had no problems, but it doesn’t hurt to invest a couple hundred in a can for cheap insurance. It is only going to help in the long run. As far as sea foam goes, not the best option for this car. I did it once through he throttle body as well and had no problems and it actually ran good after, but later found on its not good for this car. It can break down the carbon buildup and all that, and that can possibly fall into the engine and damage it. There might be a couple threads reading that on here.

LLT here, but still DI... 32481 miles here, no sign of oil in intake tract (not even residue), no oil loss, etc... I check my intake and PCV lines fairly regularly.

I have been meaning to pull the intake plenum and see what the valves look like, but that'll have to wait until spring time.

66,500 miles, no can (lack of funds, not lack of wanting one) So far no issues with idling or driving.

2012 2LT/RS - 90k. No can, run Techron before every oil change. Looked at the valves around 20k and they didn't look too bad. I clean the throttle body, off the car, the PCV nipple, and clean the o-rings on the PCVs hoses and MAF sensor every 3rd oil change or so. Dealer oil changes for first couple of years, then did my own with Mobil 1, now Pennzoil Ultra. I change the oil at 40% on the indicator and the oil filter at 70% about midway through one of my changes (do it with the engine cold and it's a piece of cake. It's my feeling that these filters can't deal with a full oil change cycle, scary how shitty they looked when I ran the engine until 10% on the indicator). I've never kept track of the mileage for oil changes, I think I'll do that this next change. Car runs great. I'll take a look over the holidays at the valves, for yucks.
