Its getting replaced by Crystal Red Tintcoat. It seems to be a tad closer to medium red than RJT is, but its still a dark red tintcoat.

Yeah, I'm wondering the same. It also says that the FE4 suspension is standard for the SS.

Where does it say this? Is that the GW6 (MX0) transmission?

EDIT: I see they have the 6T70 listed as the transmission for all automatics (V6 and V8) and the tremec for all manuals. Would be sweet if true, but something makes me think its not likely.

Well see!

does anyone know if LFX V6 is going to be E85 capable? I remember the unofficial announcement specifically listed E85 but nothing I seen officially so far is stating this.

Spoiler is standard, darkened tail lights are standard, and possibly roof ditching standard too (not sure about this one). They took several things away from the RS package. They only added the body colored shark fin to the RS package. This should make the RS package price go down considerably (you would think). Why don't the halo lights come standard too?! That's what I would like to see!

Btw I am sure we would all like to see a dramatically improved sound system. The shaker system in the Mustang kicks the BA system in the Camaro's ass bad I am sorry to say. Plus what ever happened to placing LED's in the Home link so we can see what we are pressing?

So when they say that the door lock switches are now ALSO located on the doors, does this mean that there will now be 3 lock switches? One in the center where the current Camaro has them, and also one on each door?? Is there a reason for that? I'm sorry if this has already been answered, I looked and wasn't able to find anything else about it and was just curious. I realize it's no reason to avoid the car, I was thinking maybe they could have better used the space of the middle lock button by replacing with...say...a button that transforms the car into a giant freakin robot from space...or somethin...

Wow. Got my 2011 ordered just in time. Nothing in these lists are making me regret ordering.

It looks like the 3.6 LFX and the LS3 are getting the TR6060. It is still unsure if the SS's M10 gear set will be used with the LFX but it looks like the Aisin transmission production is being affected by the Japan quake.

Although this is bad news for Aisin, this is great news for those who are Camaro enthusiast. Aisin surpassed GM in the transmission department and controls a pretty hefty chunk of transmission production market share. The Camaro crowd is really getting something special with the new 3.6 LFX V6 and the Tremec TR6060 package. Even though the engine is 20.5lbs lighter, the weight could have been gained back with the Tremec, those transmissions are some of the heaviest out there and this specific TR6060 is the lightest 6 speed they have weighing in at 149-159lbs.

The curb weight still reads the same as the last two previous years but I am wondering if the 1SS and 2SS tipped the scales past the 4000 and 3900 pound mark. We will have to wait until a publication weighs the cars, that is, if there is even a V8 vs. V8 shootout this year. Not worth doing a comparison if the results are going to be the same. On the other hand, I see a V6 vs. V6 comparison coming very soon... I still have my money on my favorite this round, as always...

This also means that there will be a slight sales decrease starting now until GM is able to ship and sell the new 2012's unless there are incentives on the remaining 2010's and 2011's. If I were in the market for a Camaro in general, I would keep an eye out for pretty decent factory incentives starting tomorrow.

Edit: Oh, It also means you can order 2012 Camaro's now...
The order information link doesn't work or is it because I was on an iPad? Also what I don't get is why just a week or too ago the ordering was opened for the 2011 Synergy series Camaros.

The link probably doesn't work because you’re surfing on a wireless or 3G network. My iPhone gives me trouble sometimes. As for the 2011 Special orders, there still might be exceptions to the rule. Some thought it was kind of odd that GM were releasing special models at the very end of the model year. They only need to move 500 Synergy Camaro's and that may just be enough to appease those individuals that absolutely cannot wait for a 2012 Camaro and do not want a 2011 from the lot... GM is being kind of weird lately.

The link doesn't work on my desktop either, so I guess it is still a few days to be able to put an order.

There are often many mistakes on the Order Guide, especially early on.

The Aisin 6 speed is junk. Designed for trucks and lacking in refinement.
If the Camaro V6 does get the Tremec 6060 that will be awesome.
it may have a lower tq rating though.
I wonder when Chevy will give us more info on this?
is fbodfather around?
