My L99 just turned 30K with even wear, but I'm shopping now cause 2-4K more is about all they got left. I think I'm gonna go with the new BF Goodrich for the money.

Ya, hi-perf tires are soft and have a very finite life. Ever heard of "siping?" Les Schwab performs this thing where they cut fine lines into the tread across the tire - 90 degrees to the tread direction. It's supposed to help cool the tires and make them bite...and last.
I didn't have a Camaro then but had an anemic 2.6L Charger company car and got 74K out of a set of Hankook's. Different animal for sure, but I think the siping made a difference. Here's a YouTube link: |
