ZL1 rim and tire question

Was wondering if I could go to a 20 x 10.5 front rim and a 20 x 11.5 rear? And still use my stock sized tires...?? Any help would be appreciated!!!! TY!
Also would they work without rubbing??

Depends on the off set of the wheel. By checking the distance from where the wheel touches your rotor to the inside and out side of your rim and comparing it to the wider rims should give you a good idea as far as rubbing goes. (put a straight edge that sits on the rim but doesn't touch the tires on your stock rims so you don't have to break then down. You will have to take the wheel off the car to do this).
I would think Goodyear could tell you if the wider rims are to wide for the tires.

Well I wouldn't see a problem stretching the front tires over the 10.5 wheel. For the 1LE they stretch the 285's over the 11" wide rear ZL1 wheels.
As far as stretching the 305's over an 11.5" wide I would say refer to the manfuacturer's specs for that tire.
Just curious why you would want to put a wider wheel on but keep the same tire width's? What would that be gaining you? More wheel weight is all I can think of. Your contact patch width will remain the same so I really don't see a performance benefit to it.

I'm guessing he found a wheel that he likes the looks of better and that is the only way they come.

Well yes and yes! Lol! Would be going with a wider tire in back! 315/35. I need to run a drag radial on the rear, it's the only way my car will hook up with all the mods I've done. But also I want to get a concave style rim, and was wondering if the wider rim would have a deeper look?.. Any thoughts??? Thanks for the input!!!

No the wider wheel will not look any deeper.. and i would not stretch the stock tire on a. 11.5in wheel if you have the money for wheels you can afford the right new tires..

So i would just keep the 10 up front also..
