I think when Lazer went 11.56/120 in the 1LE his 60 ft time was only around 1.8, so you can see improving that 60 makes a huge difference.

Beech Bend Raceway must spray a lot of glue down cause all the cars that run there have good times I have noticed.

I have Toyo Torq. They are more like a good handling drag radial for the streets.

I was launching at 4500 which is nowhere close to anything agressive, slipping kinda smooth. The track prep was horrible IMO. It was the 2nd week of opening. DA was +819 and 748 at the end of the day(between the 2 hours I was there).

I believe Lazer was running those magical 1.85 rockers with the stock cam/intake back then.

From what I remember, that was the one big difference from other's similar builds.

There was no other similar build. Rockers were no more than 12-15rwhp, nothing magical. It was a really good combination of well thought parts working together. He went the extra mile and it paid.

I have been playing around with some MT Street R 315/35-17 on the street and they hook up good.

I have 305/35/19 NT05R on the vette and it will plant 1st gear on the street from a 20 roll no issues.

No track time yet. It should be a good track tire, its soft and seems like it will bite good.


I'm eventually going to dump these 17" wheels and get some ZL1 18" replicas and Nitto 305/40-18 555R for the street. They are 27.72" tall so I wont have to deal with all this fuse pull bullshit. Ya they will be heavier and larger but I have a 4.10 rear end ready to go so that will make up some of the loss. Plus the 26" tires just look plain stupid on these cars.
