Lost the final key 😥

Alright guys, I lost my final key for my 2011 Camaro SS. (Losing 2 keys over the span of 10 years isnt that bad).

I'm being told by the dealership that
1) keys must be programmed to start the car
2) I have to tow the car to the dealership to do so
3) They will not cut any purchased keys outside the dealership
4) the car will not start without the key and chip inside it

-the car is dyno tuned by tick performance, so I'm not sure if that has changed anything inside the ECM or not. What are my options? What have you gentlemen done in this scenario?

I’m gonna go out on a limb and guess communication with the keys is controlled by the BCM and your tune probably didn’t modify the BCM settings.

That's what the dealership was saying. I just didnt know whether to believe them, or not.

You should be able to have a key cut by the vin then simply program it yourself. Me thinks the dealer is scamming you, find another dealer. I lost my keys once and my local dealer set me up and it only cost me 22 dollars for the new key............they did however warn me most other dealers will turn it into a 300-500 dollar affair.

Any idea how to go about programming it yourself?
