Tripod mode going in driveway.

Anyone else?

-If I creep up going forward the rear starts to judder (rear diff trying to figure out whats going on?) as the back wheel comes off the ground. I have started backing up into the driveway as this does not happen while reversing in. question is A is this bad for the chassis and B how about the rear diff.

That's funny, it scared the crap out of me the first time it happened because the traction control freaked out.

That's my version of '3 wheel'n'.

Hurt the chassis - nope. Hurt the rear - probably not. I think all the banging is the traction control trying to figure out what's going on.

At least you know what to to do if you need to change a tire without a jack.

It's a testament to the stiffness of the Gen 5 chassis. I could do this with my Viper too.

Had the same issue going into the garage. I changed my angle of attack and it stopped.

My 1LE has done this, did it once pulling into a crowded ice cream stand. The car gets attention without going on 3 wheels. Embarassing and comical all at the same time.

I have this same problem with mine. It doesn't matter what I do I can't keep it from three wheeling.

Lol! i am so glad someone else spoke up about this... Going into a busy parking lot at the bank, i actually got stuck on the upside of the ramp because the rear diff was like "wtf are you doing to me??!!"... Sadly i had to back up and admit defeat. #becauseracecar

The beauty of a Z/28, doing everything almost no other car can do. And some things every car can do, it can't.

Drive that same embarrassing car on a road course with high speed corners and you'll be the one laughing with delight. I will do it occasionally and don't care.

I have had a maniacal laugh a few times doing that
If only those mere peasants knew the hell a Z/28 (and to a lesser extent, a 1LE) can bring

You should be glad and proud it does that, it happens to all of us Z owners. it shows chassis rigidity, a strong chassis with a strong backbone. There's no way that the Z/28 could of put down those impressive results against the likes of the supercars it beat with a mediocre chassis. The first time it did it to me I thought "YEA BABY, ZERO FLEX, HARDCORE"
