Lug nut torque specs
Hello,
I have a 2011 2SS/RS with stock polished aluminum wheels. I just purchased some brand new OE 1LE wheels and black Gorilla locking lug nuts (for OE wheels) and am wondering whether the torque specs for the new wheels & lug nuts should be the same as the existing OE wheels & lug nuts? Thanks in advance...

110ft lbs unless the gorilla lugs say otherwise

Thanks, but that doesn't seem correct. For the stock wheels, I have always torqued them to 140 lb ft (190 N m) because that's what my owner's manual states. My question was more about whether changing the wheels and lugs would require different torque settings.
Does anyone know if aftermarket lugs, specifically Gorilla locking lug nuts (Part # 96643BDX, which is designed for OE wheels), can be torqued to 140 lb ft?

I have used them for several years now. There is no difference in the lug nuts torque specs. Tighten as specified.

I might get flamed for this, but I've always tightened by feel... :P

The camaros use the same 14x1.5 thread pitch studs that GM has used on its full size pick ups scene 1999, the torque spec is 140 lbs on that thread pitch ,while you could safely go less than 140lbs and say go to 110lbs or 130lbs ,I would still torque mine to 140lbs

Will you be posting any pics of the new wheels? I have a 2012 vert in same colors and am debating black wheels myself.

I wouldn't do wheel locks very tight as you will break the key trying to twist them off on the side of the road.

don't torque aftermarket lugs to 140...I tried that when I had my 2011 SS and had to get a rear wheel stud replaced as it f*cked up the threads.
