That sounds about right for MSRP. If you wait for awhile then you can score a nice deal on one.

Geez that not bad, I didn't notice it was for a ZL1 1LE at first I thought it was for the 1LE. I'll be staying in the 5th Gen platform. I would much rather have a Gen5 ZL1. I like a bigger car than the Gen6 has become.

Just out of curiosity, what were you guys expecting to pay? A base ZL1 costs ~$60-62k. The Track Package on the ZL1 1LE adds another $7,500 and gets you upgrades that would cost much more to add on your own. We have to accept reality. Vehicle prices are outrageous. I get it. Gone are the days of buying a brand new full-size 4x4 for $6,000. Is $70k a lot? Certainly. Personally, I was expecting it to cost more, so I'm content with this price.

Agreed. Wait a year, someone will have bought one, stored it in their garage, gotten bored with it and decided to sell it. That's when you swoop in and save $$$. Let the initial buyer take the hit.

I just posted my opinion...I don't even like the 6th Gen style and have no desire to purchase one...My reality is to keep my current 5th Gen and continue to build on it's platform...I'm satisfied with the rwhp/tq that I have, so anything more will just be cosmetic...

Completely understood. Discussing "acceptable pricing" is a subjective topic. Am I in the market for one of these vehicles? No. Do I think it is a fair price for what you're getting? Absolutely. It's not a matter of liking the 6th Gen car (I don't particularly care for the 6th Gen either). It's a matter of GM asking a fair price for the ZL1 1LE.

Anyone paying MSRP is a sheep, falling for the oldest sales technique in the book and one of the first rules in Marketing 101. Inflate the price for anyone wanting to be the newest kid on the block. Wait for left over inventory at 15%-30% off or buy low mile used for well under $60k.

There's rarely left-over inventory of this caliber in my part of the country and in my experience buying used means buying someone else's junk. There is a dealer in Syracuse with a leftover '15 Z28 and they're asking just over $55k. Still a lot for an almost 3 year old car even if new.
