Will it drone?

I have a stock 2010 L99 with 2" Hooker Blackheart long tube headers with Magnaflow XL cats and X pipe. I just picked up a Borla Type S axle back to replace my Flowmaster 44 system. Will this setup drone at highway speeds?

I can't speak to the Camaro, but my son-in-law put Borla exhaust on his 2002 Z06 and on my 2009 Mustang GT and they both sounded fantastic. I really like the sound of the Borla system. I don't have it on my current Camaros just because I am a cheap bastard and haven't stepped up yet.

I have Borla S with 1 7/8" long tubes and it drones at 1,800 rpm. My highway cruising speed is above this so it's not an issue for me.

Do you run an X pipe? I heard that might help reduce the drone.

J pipes are the best way to get rid of it that I know of.

I've never seen a Borla system that didn't drone.

I'll have to ask my son-in-law if he used J pipes because his exhausts do not produce "drone". Typically, the exhaust is the first thing he does to a stock vehicle. Every car I have owned since I've known him, the first thing he insists on doing, is the exhaust. (It's kind of become a running gag in the family that he likes fkn with other guys' exhausts. haha) He straight-piped my 2013 SS and made it sound much better than the stock system.

I might add, that you have a beautiful car there! I like the hood badging too. Looks like "SS 6.2"?

Yes it is SS 6.2. The stripes are black metallic and I had that cut into them when I had them installed.

Mine does, I'd imagine not much worse than Flowmaster, although I have no experience with Flowmaster. I have 1 7/8 headers, no cats, x pipe, and borla ataks and it's stupid loud. I had borlas on a 335i at one point and they had a drone too

Through the years I have had about 9 different muffler setups on my Camaro to find the sound I was looking for until I found the Corsa system. They ALL droned at some point in the RPM range, Dronemasters were the worst by far!! This Corsa I have now is amazingly quiet at cruising speeds and normal driving, but wicked loud at WOT.. But I like it, gets lots of compliments and questions at the shows and cruises.

My son-in-law had a Corvette with a Corsa system. It sounded sweet.
