over heating

wondering if anyone ran into this problem. I have a LT1 383 stroker with a turbo. Recently when I changed the coolant sensor on the passenger side of the block, it seemed that there was a air bubble in the system. I could not get the engine to stop overheating. I thought it might be a head gasket, but it was weird that it started after changing that sensor. I just didnt feel like pulling the heads if it might be something else. Now every time I run the car the overflow tank bubbles over and coolant is spilled into the engine area. Bought everything to change the head gaskets, just wondering if it is something simpler.

?

I am sure you "bled" the system with the two bleeder screws, so you may have another issue. What does your temp gauge read when this occurs?
Did you check your thermostat? It may be bad, put it in 180 degree water and see if it opens (You can also check by squeezing the radiator hose when hot) - or 160 if you have an aftermarket? Did you check your fan relays? Are the fans coming on when hot?
Did you put the right sensor in? Is it working? There are alot more things to check but you need to tell us what you are doing so far?

fans work, blead the system, brand new thermostate, brand new water pump, new radiator. Seems like an air bubble wont come out.

Go find a friend or mechanic that has what is called an "Airlift". It pulls a vacume on the cooling system and allows you to fill the system also, while under a vacume. It works wonders for those pesky air problems in cooling systems. should be able to find one for around $70.00 if you buy it.
