How do you open the Camaro if the Key Fob Battery dies
I was at the dealership the other day and I was looking at the 6th gen Camaro. It had the passive door unlock button on the handle. I didn't see a key hole though. If the car battery were to die, or the key fob battery, how would you get into the car? Is there a key hole that unlocks the trunk like the Corvette's have?

Didn't another member have the cover over the keyhole pop off his handle recently?

Ther is a small hole under the door handle. You pull out the valet key thingy from the fob and open it that way

There is a key inside the KeyFob, then you pop off the one part of the door handle.
It may be in the manual. |

I will use the app from Onstar I downloaded. That's good for 5 years unless I subscribe to Onstar basic when the time is up.

Is it also true that this cover has a tendency to break when performed numerous times? I wouldn't expect to be doing it routinely but be aware that the cover is held on with some rather small surface areas which if worn will fail to retain the cover as intended. If it becomes necessary to remove it getting the original to stay on my be more challenging than you would imagine. Proceed cautiously.

I can't see having to do it more than a few times the life of the car. If you are, you need to revise your storing and parking procedures.

The good news is I have a new, freshly painted cover and figured out an easier, safer way to install it. View this: http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=455569 |

Am I the only one who downloaded the app to my phone? Anything plastic will break, and you don't even have to use it very much, it becomes brittle over time, especially when exposed to the weather. If your fob won't open your door, instead of wearing that little piece out, or potentially breaking it, pull up the app on your phone and unlock the door.

No worries. If the car won't unlock with the fob it will just transform into Bumble Bee and carry you home.
