Hard decision... After doing some sound clip research it seems like the Corsa is more raspier while the AWE is raspy with a deep tone.. If that makes sense lol

Sort of like a butt dyno, to me this AWE seems a bit louder than what I've been used to. Like I said it's a flip of the coin between these two and you really can't go wrong either way. Raspy is always the best sound on the track, but I wouldn't call AWE raspy. |

I have the AWE Touring Axle Back Dual Black Tips and no drone whatsoever compared to the Flowmaster American Thunder that did have drone, at idle it rumbles and when you get on it you know it and no raspyness, it sounds like a V8.

AWE Touring Edition vs Corsa Extreme catback exhaust
As Promised... I'll just drop this here and let you all decide.
A couple ZLE's showed up to the drag strip today which got rained out after the first few hours so my buddy Travis and I took care of this comparison. Hard to go wrong with either of these exhaust systems. |

It's debatable. If either of these produced a functioning valved version. It would be better imo.

I had the opportunity to go to AWE and listen to their SS 1LE. It was equipped with the resonated touring exhaust with performance link pipes. It sounded magnificent. I liked it so much that I purchased that system while I was there.

Glad you got an exhaust you liked! It is always hard for me to pick an exhaust system. LOL

FWIW, any axleback gives you ZERO h.p. over stock mufler.

Admittedly, this has be a bit worried. Lol. I ordered the AWE Touring cat back for my car but, non-resonated and I don’t have cats. Maybe AWE will sell the resonators separately if I decide I want them later.

You can convert the system from non-resonated to resonated. AWE sells the resonators separately.

I guess they prefer wasting money on the wrong end. I always start with headers first for more power.

I think the Awe touring axle back sounds fantastic. No drone is a solid plus.
Think I'm going to start there. Hopefully I like it, I don't want to replace the hole exhaust system right now. I would have no where to store that big obnoxious thing. |
