There were 80 cars at VA BBQ Friday night and the crowds looking at the cars were unbelievable. It was a good show and of course the VA BBQ Pulled Pork is awesome too.

A couple photos from VA BBQ Friday

Here's a couple of my favorite cars from VA BBQ on Friday.
There were 4 5th Gen's there, but I didn't get pics of them because I have so many already of Jon, Garland, Andy and my Camaro.

VA rides

I went two weeks ago to the Saturday night show at Quaker State. Only camaro there and boy I felt old... It was all young kids and imports. Stayed about 30 minutes and left. Wont go back to that show.

I been by the VA BBQ show on Friday nights and it is top notch. Very nice cars.

A well rounded meet is good. There is Va BBQ on Friday nights, Brusters on Saturday night, and QS&L on Saturday nights. Although Brusters is the same cars, they are organized and there are people of all ages. The rides are a bit more refined and drop more power. If a person is to bring their wheels, it is not ussually something that is a POS. If so, they park on the other side and walk the show.

I like the more organized, but my reason for going to QS&L is more for show and conversation, not competition. Also, I get to eat, and their wings are off the hook.

Yea I agree, and will probably go from meet to meet. I think people miss the point about the VA Rides meet though. I do not think of it as a car show and don't expect it to be, it's just a meet where I can mingle with other car guys. Granted the majority of guys my age can't afford high end cars and you will find a lot of imports there because of that.

I will have to hit up VA BBQ next week, haven't been able to make it out there yet this year.

I will have to check out VA BBQ as well. I have never been there but those are some awesome looking cars.

I believe VA Rides would be better if we have a coordinated effort of 5th Gens rolling in together. Plus if we have more cars together I might not get in trouble for being to loud again.

Va BBQ is nice. I like Brusters in Stafford as well. I can hit Stafford more than Va BBQ due to work schedules.

I like the coordinated effort bit. I like the fact we just get together to BS. I would like to get together to BS more often, but I would like bs'ing with people who can relate...Old guys, and upcoming whippersnappers!!! LOL!

I am game...

VA BBQ does have some pretty nice cars. I've been there many times. But it is a classic car and muscle car show and the average age of the attendees is about double the average age for the VA Rides Car Meet. They do trophies and have the show in the daylight and a little into the night.

The VA Rides Car Meet is a meet without trophies. Like xXSilencerXx said. Its a place to mingle with other automotive enthusiasts and see some nice cars. The fact that it is from 7pm til past midnight means there will be a younger crowd that comes out. The younger the crowd, generally the less high end cars you see. There have been some really nice cars that have come out though and do come out on a weekly basis.

I also wanted to mention we have 99.3 the vibe coming out on 6/18 for the meet.

even with it raining all day and them calling for rain that night, we had around 200 cars come out. 99.3 the vibe was great! we are glad to be working with them and excited to have them come out as often as they can.
