HPS wants to thank JLE58 for the continued support and trusting in HPS to meet all his goals, Previous and NEW Goals. HPS has been dealing John for almost 2 yrs now. He first came to us wanting to make 550rwhp with a mild cam and Magnuson Blower.He has been a loyal fan of Camaro5 for a few yrs now and new that is 550rwhp goal was very achievable. So we installed one of our very mild blower cams and installed a Magnuson 2300 and pullied it for 10lbs of boost. However we were told that 10psi would not be achieved with a 6rib setup. I called BS on that and with the 6rib setup not only did we achieve constant 10lbs of boost we made 615rwhp and 600rwtq! John got the bug, so now HPS did a TH400 Conversion,added axles,diff upgrade and some shocks up front and off to the track we go. BAM first pass ever off the trailer we ran a 10.91 @ 129mph. Next pass John ran even quicker with a 10.89 and the same 129mph.OH and still using the 6RIB SETUP that was not supposed to ever work. So now to the current update. Here is the build list:

HPS LSX BLOCK
Stock Crank, Oliver Billet Rods, Manley Forged Blower/Turbo Pistons.
ALL ASSEMBLY DONE IN HOUSE IN OUR ENGINE ROOM!
ARP Main Studs
ARP Head Studs
HPS Custom Turbo Cam
HPS Twin Turbo Kit
LSX 6 Bolt Heads
TH400 Conversion with Transbrake and 2 Step

As this unfolds I will keep you updated.

John is smart enough to know it's about time to forge that bottom. I'd add a meth kit to the bunch too.

Yeah it will have meth for sure! Yeah going with a larger turbo and turn it up and let her eat! Me and chris were talking turbos and racing etc... Then we decide to Go Ahead and pull the motor and build it and go bigger. I've got a 99 trans am set up that I'm going to use to run LSx true street class but i can't stop messing with this camaro! Just something cool about a single digit 5th gen.

We are building Johns motor to handle the HP. Motor will be fine. Twins @15psi should put a hurting on a few folks.
