You always need more power!

A greater precentage of people with the V8 do mod their cars when compared with V6 owners. I think that is changing now that we have seen a whole generation of kids modding 4 cylinder cars. GM and after market manufacturers get that (look at the cobolt), they just haven't quite transferred that knowledge to the V6. I think this car will maybe tip them over to "our side." It make great power and we will soon have a slew putting down V8 times at the track.

it would have to be 2 very small turbos, or a small single

I disagree. I think you will want two bigger turbos to prevent building boost at two low RPMs. These tranny's probably can't handle more than about 340 TQ below 3-3.5K. At higher RPMs they are seem to be handling the power okay. My 2 cents anyway.

I've started something simlar myself using a powerdyne bd11a. I had it mounted and ready to go but decided to take it off for research on the crank. If anyone building their own that wants pics of my setup or need any help with the fabrication let me know.

i would think the bigger the turbo the more the lag, so there wouldn't be all that much boost in the lower RPM's unless you get ball bearing or another type of easy spooling turbo.

Exactly, the lag will prevent building too much boost at lower RPMs. Ball bearings are always a good idea because they last longer. Yes, they spool a little quicker, but from what I've seen a lot of the journal bearings are not far behind these days.

So, bottom line I wouldn't put a small turbo on these cars unless you have already built the bottom end and tranny...just too risky IMHO.
