Was in between wars so did not see any action other than being on alert for the Cuban missile crisis.

My thanks and respect goes out to those who saw real action and especially those who came back with serious physical or mental problems. My cousin, a Marine, was in 'nam and came back at age 19 minus both legs gone from the knees down. And then, because 'nam was so unpopular got no respect and screwed by the VA.

My hats off to the Marines; they are the greatest, not to deminish the other services that are also great.
