Silver boring......you could strip all the color off the Camaro and it will still never look boring. Just by luck (haven't seen another Camaro for almost two weeks) on my way back from lunch and drove past a SIM Camaro today.......it pops......trust me.......not IOM or Yellow pop.....but it does pop. If you like it get it.

You are joking right? Any Camaro stands out in a crowd. Any year, any generation, any color. I am so happy that GM did not festoon the SS with stickers and badges. I am also glad that they did not put V-8 trim pieces every where. I do not care if my silver SS "pops". I know what it is and what it can do. I think that the silver is elegant and not ostentatious. If I were a teenager again I would probably want the brightest colors with the loudest graphics. To each his own though. Spend your money on one that "pops" if that is what you are looking for. I wanted one that I would not get tired of looking at. IE; a conservative color without stripes.

Face it sliver, white, black and greys are boring and a safe choice. This is coming from someone who drives a silver car everyday during winter season.[/QUOTE

First of all do you own a 2010 camaro. Second, this is not a sports car its a muscle car. Some people dont buy cars for a safe choice. Oh and i live in south texas nice and sunny right now.
Yup IOM, and its more considered a sports car then muscle and lets not get into a rather its this or that. Really muscle car really only applies to the 60 and 70s era. Muscle car is NOT a real car segement, if anything its a performance car. And I could care less where you live, I live in Michigan and have a second home in Arizona so whats your point?

ok go back and read my comments. I strongly say that if this wasn't a color on the camaro it would be considered boring. Thus my point is silver in general is a boring and safe color to go with.

Whats so hard to understand about that. Get off the Camaro looks good in any color as argument for silver not being boring.

The bold print proves my point as being boring and safe, you say so yourself. I like all my performance cars to be bright and no I'm not a teen. I just like color, thats the gift of not being colorblind. I guess if I was colorblind silver would look good because that would appear bright.

Don't get me wrong I think it looks great on this car also, but its still a boring color.

But if people chose black, silver, gray and white so they wouldn't attract police attention, why would they have bought a Camaro in the first place? Why wouldn't they be rockin' that Camry? I have *never* heard anyone say, "Yeah, I chose this color because it won't catch a cop's eye!" Why would you buy a brand new car and, instead of getting the color YOU want, get a color that *might* not get you a ticket as fast? Is a cop really going to miss a '10 Camaro going 110 just because it happens to be black?

So the fact still stands if we weren't talking about the camaro most people would not be defending silver as not being a boring car.
Not a fact at all, but your opinion. What you call boring someone who bought silver might call classical elegance, and your orange garish. Nor do many people think the paint job is the only thing that matters in determining if a car is boring or not.

Thus the co-worker could care less what type of car he was driving and was simply saying silver is a boring color on any car.
Either the co-worker or the op didn't clarify if they meant ANY silver car, or just the color silver itself. I would think if the op was that concerned about her opinion, he would've said, "Yeah, she said it was a hot car but the silver was boring..." or something of that nature if it was the case.

The people defending and taking offence to this are either owners of the color of just can't accpet facts. This is the sole reason these colors sell most on any car from any car line.
You know the SOLE reason a color sells? Somebody give this guy a job in marketing.

As a side note black was my first choice and then I thought to myself that I want a color that stands out and isn't common so I went with IOM.
So you're saying originally you just wanted to go undetected by the cops, since you were going w/ black?

Oh, and last I looked, the orange Camaro was the second-best selling color.

No you didn't stir me up and weather has been good. Just now getting down into the 40s, which is great for December here, no snow or anything here yet. I love having all four seasons, can't wait to get on the slopes every weekend and snowmobiling. Way better then nothing.

Didn't you see where I said people have a stigma of thinking brighter cars attract the cops more? Don't act like you have never heard that saying before and just because someone buys a camaro doesn't mean they aren't thinking about that stigma in the back of their head and choose a different color. Some people claim to have been pulled over in a car becasuse of the color when the police clocked someone else but pulled them over since they had the car that looked fast.

Look all I'm saying is silver white and black are boring. Just cause its classic and or whatever doesn't mean its not boring. As far as the orange being the second best seller, yes its true but just wait until this car has been on the market for over a year and then some when they are just sitting on lots. You will see the basic black, silver, yellow and red outpace all other colors.

In in essence yes I didn't want all the attention that comes with a bright color that stands out, but then I said performance cars are meant to stand out.

Yes, I think silver cars are the plainist, most boring color out there. I would never get a silver car, they just look dull. Go with Black.. You can do so much with black to make it look bad ass.

That's two of the best looking colors in my opinion. Black is stealth and the silver is like a machine posessed. Won't go wrong with either color, But a gravel road
