Help asap
I know it is in wrong section but I am kind of in a hurry. I'm trading my car in tomorrow but it has a service airbag light on. The code is b0080 and it is something with the seatbelt tensioner. I replaced the whole seatbelt tensioner assembly and also put a whole new seat with new buckles and connectors in it but it still says service airbag. I am all approved on a 1le and the dealer is expecting me to bring my car in soon and trade it but I can't with that light on. Also car is out of powertrain warranty as it has 47k miles. Any advice?

Try to disconnect the battery for at leas 15min. If that dos'nt help you have to reset it via the defect code memory. Your dealer can do this.

Than your dealer has to do it through the memory code. It is not a big thing.

It would be covered through the 3 year/36,000 mile warranty....as long as you don't have more than 36K, I wouldn't sweat it.
I wouldn't volunteer that you already replaced parts though, they might try to pin it on you by saying you messed something up when you attempted the repair.

Go to your local auto parts store. Ask them to use a code checker to see what the error is and then have them reset it. Should be able to clear the code.

Parts stores wont be able to check airbag light or codes only service or check engine light, those are more of a safety issue than anything so theres liability involved
