Headers for 2011 V6

I'm looking to get headers and an axle back exhaust, I have a K&N CAI already on the car and I do not want to deal with cel's. What are my best options? So far from what I have read Doug thorley shorties seem to be the choice. Appreciate any feed back I can get from you guys, been out of the game for a long time sold my last camaro in 1990.

DT shorties are nice but people have had varied results. If you dont want a CEL they are great, but I know people who have gotten as little as a 2hp gain. Just doesnt seem worth it to me.

Well alot of people throw their warrenty out the window and go for ARH or BBKs and a tune.

But if you want to keep your warrenty I'd go JBA or DTs. You just may not get as big of gains as you want.

I recently ordered and recieved a set of DT Shorties from Ivan and Christa. Now I am waiting on the weather out here to Cool off and will head over to Ofer's (2SSRS) place to get them installed. With what I have already done (GMPP Exhaust Kit with Tips, Roto-Fab CAI, and ADM Race Air Scoop) to my car this should really end up sounding Nice.

WAIT, shorties dont void warrenty?!

And to answer your question , I love my DT shorties with the flowmasters, nice purr to it and u do feel a little more of a kick in butt power and up top feels good too. Id reccomend to do the DT's over the JBA's cause the JBA's have a tendacy to leak and you get CEL's. The DT's if you install properly will not cause you to get a CEL that was the sell feature for me.

You can get long tube headers without voiding your warrenty just dont get a tune the only this is you may be running with a CEL on but nothing to worry about and when it comes emission time youll have to goto stock

I have heard that any type of headers long/short are not worth the $$$ if you are looking for any kind of gain in HP. Is this true? What kind of gain are you guys getting with your headers? Is it more for the sound by installing headers vs. HP gain?

He said no CEL so it has to be shorties. The question to OP do you want to go tune and maybe risk waranty? You will get the best gains with LT headers for sure, but tune will erase the CEL. if I was trying to keep it simple on the warranty/ CEL level I would go Doug Thorley shorties.

I have not had a dyno run to quantify gains but it is said that 10-25 HP can be gained from LT headers. If you believe manufacturers hype, BBK claims 33HP gains.
