On that night I was running a 325/35/18 MT Street R DRs. I switch over to a 335/35/17 Hoosier DR2 on a different rim sometimes. Thank you!

How does the M/T ET street Rs hook on a 6 speed car? I know, no DL will hook as good as a Bias Ply but just curious. Torn between them and the new Nitto NT555r2 . Nitto is claiming they are even better than the NT05R tires that come on the demon stock

The MT Street R is probably the best hooking and most consistent DR I’ve run. Bias Ply is great on absorbing the hit on a manual but does not MPH no where near a radial.

I would not even put Nitto in the same category as a MT Street R for the track or street. Technology has passed them by I believe.

I would have to agree, do you think the ET street R does better than the Hoosier DR2? I will be running 18 inch weld S71s on rear. They dont make a 18 inch Bias ply M/T so i am not even considering that. Hoosier will be a 26 inch tire and M/T is a 27 inch tall tire. I think personally the 26 might be a little short even tho mine is a Z/28 and has 26 inch tall tires on it now.

My personal best has been on the Hoosier DR2 335/35/17 which was a 26" tire. It is very inconsistent on hooking up unless there is great track prep and I run low tire pressure. It has serious MPH though with the gear ratio change compared to the 27" MT Street R 325/35/18 tire.

The MT Street R is more consistent off the line.

Gotcha! You are the man, i appreciate all your info.. I will most likely go with the ET Street R... Your ZL1 running 390 gear?

You're welcome Man. I think you will really like the Street R. No gear swaps are available for the ZL1 rear. I change gear ratio by going back & forth on rear tire diameter changes.

The 17" DR2 is 25.6". Th 18" Street R is 27". Things happen a lot faster on shorter DR2.

Man who are you telling. I knew they Guy too. I wanted to back-out the staging lane. Fastest Demon in the Country. Real nice Racer. He cut me a break by just running Blower only. 9.0 at 150. I thought I ran a 11.5 hahahaha. Tried to run him down lol. Got a NPB and my ass handed to me all at once!!

Man that’s some fancy driving. Congrats! What shift light are you running? Mine revs like a 2 stroke and it is hard to hit shifts soon enough.
