Camry Versus Camaro

Exactly 2 years and 2 months since i bought my car. Leaving work last night, a lady re-ended me. We even work in the same building. I was sooooo mad. But no one was hurt and I have to say. She hit me at about 35 miles per hour. My car held up well.

Amazing difference between the two cars. Be interesting to see under the bumper cover and what the bumper reinforcement bar looks like after that impact.
Did your car roll forward and absorb some of impact when hit? Hopefully all the plastic absorbers and reinforcement bar did their job.
The small trunk opening adds to the strength.

Glad everybodies ok. Definitely not a 35mph impact, probably was going that fast before she looked up and got on the brake, and then into the back of you. Car definitely held up well though.

She never even apologized. We have the same insurance company and insurance guy. So I am hoping I can get it fixed quickly. My car didn't roll at all. If I had 2 more seconds. I think I could have gotten in to gear and pulled in to the turn lane.

I just know when I got out of my car. I was honestly expecting to see worse. There were bits and pieces of her grill all in the recessed section where the license plate sits.

I see this from time to time....argument comes up over how I sit at an open intersection....in gear, always, 100% of the time.

Glad you're ok, call an attorney and go get cleared by a physician at the very least today.

Reasons like that are why I have a rear facing dash cam. Catch if they were texting looking away or whatever. Glad your OK.

I may be wrong, but I thought it was illegal to not be in gear. I am like you though Snoman, always in gear 100% of the time.

Yeah if you guys have the same insurance, she pays the deductible.... this is an easy one for you.

Same thing happened to me, some idiot texting and driving hit me on my rear quarter panel.

We both had All State, I didn't pay a penny.

doesn't being in gear with your foot on the clutch wear out the throwout bearing and the clutch teeth?
