The biggest thing is DO NOT FEEL OBLIGATED to take the offer right away! I always say get at least one other quote.

Are you preapproved for your loan, do you know how much you wanna spend on the car and you know how much you want your monthly payment too be? These r three things u can use to your advantage. You can say I can't spend more then 30K for example, or calculate a payment you r ok with and tell them that is all u can afford "watch for the extended term trick" and last make sure your interest rate is under 5% if u have good credit. At local bank new car loans going at 2.9%

They must not like your father very much. I walked in off the street and ordered mine for invoice with hardly and argument. I just pretty much told them I would pay invoice and nothing more or I'll go to another dealer.

They quickly agreed to order for invoice, and they beat my bank and got me financing at 2.64%.

Your connection is not doing you any good.

You're not getting it for 28,000. Invoice is more than that and that's assuming your getting manual and no sunroof.

so i ordered the car with no sunroof, illuminated footwells, and a car cover. 45th anniversary edition. The selling price i got from him was $31,456... and after taxes we estimated it to be around $34.4k. The selling price is only 300 bucks less than the msrp on the website!?

Did you bring the pricing sheets? Can I assume manual? And no offense but what happened to $500 over invoice?
Did you get a second quote?

List all of the options that you got. is it an automatic or manual? like Mike stated, did you at least take the pricing sheets in with you? Doesnt sound like it. You should have at least taken the time for a second quote. But if your happy with your decision, then thats all that matters
