Everything seems to be geared toward 14-15s any love for us 2010-13 unless you are ZL1.

Is there an opening for the 2010-13 SS model?

There is no opening in the Fascia for the 10,11,or 12 that I have seen.
For my 2011 I bought the ZL1 Addons tow hook. It is supose to go thru the lower grill. I still haven't installed mine yet.

[QUOTE=RaycinSS;9508933]Just got great news from Maureen at Rodgers Chevrolet. She just shipped the factory tow hook to me today. Thanks Maureen !

She described it as a black hook (fully enclosed eye). I will makes sure it works and I will get pictures posted and measurements and the thread specifications identified as soon as I get it.

maybe I have thought about cutting off the "loop" drilling and tapping the rod and allowing for an individual to add their own "loop" or an aftermarket style as they wish

again this is just an idea and I haven't done it yet

Very good point, and Chevy did just that by including a tow hook standard in the trunk kit on the 2016+ Camaro, fitting in same location on the right side.
Great job in your write-up for the Gen5.

Got the factory tow hook in and have some pics and info to share. (Thank you Maureen at Rodgers Chevrolet)

GM factory part number is 25887376
Threads are M18 (Metric 18mm thread x ? pitch) and threaded portion is about 1 1/2" long. I don't know for certain if the pitch is 2.5 mm or 2.0 mm. I am told that if it is 2.0 that Subaru tow hooks might work. Will update when I am able to verify.

If you get the factory hook be aware that the threads were painted and I had to oil them and use a cheater bar to turn it a few times and keep the paint from seizing it up. Not something I want to have to deal with in an emergency.

I included a picture with the hook installed in the impact bar looking straight down from the top to show how the hook is in line with the long axis of the vehicle and not perpendicular to the portion of the curve where the threads are. The wide angle lens distorts it a little and makes it look like its at an angle but I believe its just a product of the cell phone camera lens. I tried to line it up with the grid lines on the tile to give a better overall idea. I personally like knowing the pulling force would be in line and not side loaded.

I like the look of the aftermarket hooks with the hinge and will be getting one of those next but this factory one will stay in the car for emergencies. I haven't decided whether or not I want to leave one of the flip down ones installed for looks or not.

Very nice was about to ask about this and a person could just get the threads media blasted to ease that pain.

Hopefully there's a good after market hook that looks a lot better.

Cant wait to see this installed!!!

One thing for sure is that the hook looks sturdy and you won't have to worry about it breaking if you ever had to use it.

Was just at ZL1 Addon and they have a hook for the 2016 CTS-V so it should fit the Camaro bar since the above loop is a CTS-V part correct.

Sorry guys been real busy last couple weeks and in a holding pattern. I'm wanting to have my front bumper cover and splitter repainted so I am trying to coordinate replacing the impact bar with the paint work. I'm going to do the work myself but don't want to be driving around too long with the front cover off.

I'm hoping to have more info by the first week of March at the latest. Stay tuned

Anyone yet able to confirm that the receiver lines up with the opening on the '14-15 fascia?
