Just got my new VMAX T.B today. I just read a blog from someone mentioning that you should not use the original gasket when replacing your throttle body. Is this true for the most part or do you guys think it's o.k to use the factory one?

I reused my factory one, as it looked good. The bolts don't need to be very tight either.

Ive reused the one on my SS probably 200 times. Still good with 150k miles on it.

No reason to buy a new TB gasket. Most LS gaskets are reusable, just make sure they don't look torn or it poor shape. Then toss on that V-max TB and make some easy power. We've had good success with them.
