nice car!
You said that you wanted to do a 67' Z/28 clone? The 67' Z's never has any badging saying "Z/28, that didn't appear until mid year 68' models and the earlier 68' had "302" fender badges The only thing on the 67' were the "Z/28" stripes They were only offered with manual trans and NO a/c was available here are pics of my old 67' Z/28 RS that the new owner finished it hope this helps Jeff |

yes I know about the z/28 badging, but I did it up as MY Z/28 THINKING ILL PUT HER ALL BACK AS ORIG AS I HAVE THE WINDOW STICKER, AND BUILD SHEET, kept the orig deck lid and flat hood but will leave the vintage air ac in it too freaking hot here in texas... anyway SHES A BLAST TO DRIVE
most folks have no clue what it is, I do get the most thumbs up from bikers.. |

Glad to hear that you are making it your own! one of the reasons that I sold my 67' Z RS, I couldn't make it my own, car was too rare, plus the fact that I was getting divorced then It worked out though, the new owner finished the restoration and I kept one of the 68 projects that i had, and have been making it my own! That is a super nice cruiser that I bet is a a pleasure to drive. I love the gold color combo as well because it has a nice vintage feel to it. Congrats, and good luck with it.

I don't like the Z28 badges at all. Nice car, but these days anything is possible!

Nice, love the 1st. generation. My sister had one the same color back in the late 60's.
I would keep it original 327 and 2 bbl. But that's just me. Enjoy! |

think your right
thinking I might just add the vintage air a/c and leave it as all matching two brl runs great might just add the orig fin z/28 valve covers she has numerous leaks from sitting so long before restoration.
on the 17th will pull engine out reseal complete engine oil pan real seal new oil pump screen shaft timing chain waterpump alt and reseal intake along with fuel pump "BUTTON" IT UP then drive it ALOT |

Did you have to drill holes to add those Z/28 badges? If not, I would remove them. They look off and as someone else has already mentioned, the 67 Z/28 did not receive badging.
You have a beautiful car and adding the stripes and various upgrades make it even more beautiful. This car can easily stand on its own without those Z/28 badges. I think you're on the right road by leaving it as it is with the original intake and 2 barrel setup. Thanks for sharing your car. It really is a great example and you don't see many that have not been hacked up or converted to a big block. |
