I had noticed this a while back and posted, but no one seemed to know. My best guess is that what you're seeing here is a pic taken at maybe chest level, or even lower. I'm betting when you sit in the car, at eye level, you can't even see that top section of the display, so its blacked out. Imagine if they had used that space and now a tall driver couldn't see it. Massive complaints of making a DIC that most drivers couldn't see.

Can anyone who's sat in the car confirm this? I guess we'll all know soon enough.

And the plastic in this car needs a good Armor-All application for sure. But I find no faults in this car and I can't wait to be turning heads around Maryland this summer.
A little news for you.. this isn't a Japanese rice burner, it's an AMERICAN MUSCLE CAR!!!!

Interior color...

So, is this interior Grey or Beige? The Beige in the other IBM was black on the headliner. This one looks like it has a grey headliner. (see rearview mirror shot) Just curious. I sure wish Chevy would make a nice interior selection webpage or video. I already ordered grey, but am waffling now.

Agreed...Ya know, I told myself it wasnt possible to rice a camaro....but I have a feeling im going to be gravely disappointed. Not the majority obviously, but damn....

Most people don't release the excessive lighting covers up a cheap ass interior..yet a well designed interior that doesn't look like a f---ing space ship is deemed as "cheap".

I really don't like that term "rice-burner". It just seems so racist to me.

The interior was brown with beige inserts in the seats and door panels. It looked really good. I currently have a black leather interior on order. After seeing this interior I want to change it to black with gray inserts. I think that is an option, but I have to check into it to be sure. I love the brown with beige, but the black with gray will go better with my black with silver rally stripes 2SS/RS.

There is no brown. Maybe the black just sorta looked brown coz of the lighting? The only options are:
1. All black seats with silver/gray door and dash inserts
2. Black seats with beige inserts and beige door and dash inserts
3. Black seats with gray inserts, gray carpet, headliner, door, and dash inserts
4. Black seats with orange inserts and stitching with orange door and dash inserts

The first three are available in cloth and leather but #4 is only available in leather and costs extra.
