There's been on again off again plans to replace the Express/Savana or at least update them. I think last I checked we were in an off again phase.

I have a 2005 i5 3.5. Desperately trying to find a reason to replace it. Because it won't die.

Do we know what platform the xt4 will be on? Would be awesome if were alfa based. Not only for dynamic purposes, but proportion and styling wise rwd based crossovers like the Stelvio and BMWs have a more sophisticated look than the rather pug-nosed XT5. Just my opinion.

On the other hand, combined Express/Savanna sales were up by about 25% last month. Though I don't know how that ranks compared to the rest of the large commercial van segment.

Transit (the large one) was down slightly year over year last month but it still was the best selling commercial van last month.

For 2017 Ford sold 127,360 Full size transit vans and add to that 53K E series vans.

GM sold 69K Express and 29.6 Savana vans.

E-Series might have been outsold by GM but E - Series and transit(full size) outsold GM vans almost 80,000 units

And like I said I can only go by what I see. When it comes time for my customers to replace their vans, almost all of them are going with the ones that offer configurable roof heights/ etc and the majority have been the Transit.

Just seems like it should be something GM should look at.
