Belly pan question

Hi guys. First post. I am the new proud owner of a 2012 black ZL1 with just 2100 miles. The previous owner did a few mods, Lingenfelter kit and tune and headers. Over the weekend, I jacked up the car so I could get a good look at it's under beauty and noticed the mounting holes for a belly pan. A little research and sure enough, these cars did come with a pan. My thought about the missing pan is that it interfered with the long tube headers. so before I head over to my Chevy dealer and order one up, will these not work with headers or did someone just get lazy and not put it back on? Thanks

Probably the headers then, some trimmed it. The Vert doesn't have a belly pan.

The 2014's an up didn't have to be cut for headers to fit. I'm pretty sure the 2014 and up belly pan will fit on the 2012 as well.

See here where I cut mine for my 2012. But if you order the belly pan for a 2014 or newer it may fit without having to cut it.

I have the one for the Z28, it fits around the headers without cutting anything.

I had to cut mine like Z06 did....

I would put one on. The belly pan is what helps the car aero at high speeds.

I switched mine to the 14-15 version and it clears 2" headers without an issue.

Thanks. So it fits all the 2012 mounting locations? If I have to buy one any way, might as well get one that I don't have to carve on.

Correct. Hit up Maureen at Rodgers Chevrolet. They're a sponsor here and offer good prices, free shipping and always include a bag of free goodies.
