Beside my father pass last March and left me his 1972 split bumper RS Camaro that been sitting for over 20 years. Need money to get her back on the road.
I would concentrate on the 72 and leave the new one alone for now. Sorry for the loss of your father, I would make it a tribute to him.

Not jealous at all, and people can call me whatever they want. All I was trying to say is that most if not all people here at the end of the day will say it's your car do what you want but will say something so he will get hassled along the way.

I have brembo brakes front and rear, an ss front bumper, zl1 rockers, 10 spoke wheels in the mail. And I put them on my car for aero or performance.

Brembos - better braking, less fade, etc.
SS Bumper - allowed for T3 ports (better air for my cai) also allowed for T4 splitter with undertray for downforce
10 spoke wheels - wider wheels, better grip

*Oh I also painted my shark fin antenna, since they came black on the '10s does that mean I'm trying to be like the newer models?

Agreed, bringing back a 72 would be an awesome project!

I can't take credit for that work of art, unfortunately. It's a google images find.

Either way, I have to say - car forums have changed over the last 10-15 years. I remember when having a 3rd or 4th gen V6 Camaro/Firebird and badging it as a Z28/Trans Am would just about get you run out of town. People are so accepting now!

I still wouldn't do it, personally. Adding parts because you like the look of the higher model is one thing, adding the badges to actually try and make someone think that's what it is when there's no visual/performance benefit is entirely another.

That's just the thing, though - if you're just changing the emblems, which presumably is for the benefit of others who look at your car. The only ones who probably don't already assume it's a V8 and would know the difference are the only ones who would care, and they would probably think it's silly.

I dunno. When it comes down to it, it doesn't affect me getting up and going to work tomorrow so do what makes you happy. I have to imagine there are better things to be done with that few bucks, though.

(edit: it sounded like my post is directed toward chicagobulls but I mean 'you' in a general sense)

SS Badges is telling ppl that your car is a SS. Parts aren't telling ppl what you have, that's the difference. I wouldn't be spending my hard earn money on something , if I wasn't proud of what it is. Crawl before you walk! You'll get your SS!

I'll never understand people who ask for opinions then when the majority doesnt agree, they get butthurt and start making comments and downing other peoples mods to justify their mistake. Who cares. If you want to put SS badges on your V6 then do it but dont look for support here and dont come here and make a post later on about someone calling you out about it either. Have fun in your fake SS

If you read what I ask? You would know I ask for V6/RS owners. Not SS owners. You have a nice car. And not butt hurt. Are you? Don't be a hater
