R1 Concepts Geomet

Looking like I'm going to be doing pads and rotors on my car next month. Wondering who here has experience with these, and whether they are worth it or not?

If you did buy the set, did you match it with their brand ceramic pads? If so, how do you like those?

And finally, I'm not sure if it makes sense to ask here, or if I'm even allowed to ask in the vendor section, but I was wondering if a vendor was running any good deals on the set up.

Thanks all!

Ahh I did remember your thread, didn't realize it turned into you buying those. Sounds good!

I put the slotted geomets with I believe their ceramic pads on my wife’s traverse. Been about 4 months, so far no problems. They are quiet and brake like they should. If you order them call and tell them you are on camaro5. They will transfer you to their forum guy and he will give you a pretty good discount. I plan to put them on my SS when the time comes.

I got mine, but have not installed. The rotors have the geomet coating which appears to be a silver powder coat. The box say engineered and machined in USA. I assume China casting that are finished up and boxed here. The brake pads do have the roller skates

I have had them on my car for about a year with Hawks ceramic pads. No issues so far.

Thanks for everyone responding to this originally when I posted it. I did wind up purchasing the slotted geomets with their ceramic pads. While I had everything apart, I also ordered a g2 paint kit and painted my calipers with a color matched crystal red paint.

Everything came out great, and so far the brakes have felt really good.
