Really thinking of changing my Destiny pre-order over to this. More I look at that game I keep thinking it's going to be a waste. I will decide after the beta in July.

Forza Horizon 2 was interesting. I still don't have an xbone and was leaning towards PS4 this year, but forza sparked wifey's interest, so that may change.

all the training you’ve done for your Forza Motorsport 5 Drivatar will translate right over to Forza Horizon 2

- Change between offline mode and online mode is instant

In Horizon 2 you can instantly switch between one and the other at any time, in any part of the world

- Liveries and Tuning will be present in this version

Liveries and tuning will be a huge part of Horizon 2. You won't be stuck with default paint jobs

- Cars accumulate dirt
- Rainbows can appear during or after rain sets
- Every car in the game features windshield wipers
- Full mechanical damage in addition to cosmetic only settings
- No microtransactions

That's incredibly important to us. For that reason, we will launch in September without tokens

- No Porsche
- Demo of the game will be released before launch

Single Player

- The game will feature events

More than 700 events across the world, contributing to, I think a conservative 100 percent completion time of well over 100 hours

- Collectables and barn finds are back

Expect more things to collect and discover, more secrets and barn finds to track down

Unsurprisingly, Showcase Events are back with a vengeance in Forza Horizon 2

- Half of the Barn Finds are completely new cars to the franchise

You’ll be delighted to hear that more than half of our Barn Finds in Horizon 2 are completely new to Forza

- Horizon wristbands are back
- The game will have an assistant called ANNA

As you explore the world, you’ll be able to take advantage of Horizon 2’s all-new onboard assistant ANNA. Part GPS system and part game guide, ANNA can give you directions to any spot on the Forza Horizon 2 map, including the most relevant challenge for the car you’re driving. If you’ve got a Kinect for your Xbox One, you’ll be able to control ANNA with your voice, leaving your hands free to get on with the business of collecting victories. ANNA will also make intelligent recommendations based on your progress through the game. If your friends kick off a new Online Road Trip, ANNA will alert you and offer to seamlessly connect you into their online match. At any point in the game you can ask ANNA, “What should I do next?” and she’ll reply with great options designed specifically for you

Multiplayer

- Up to 12 players online

where up to 12 cars tear through the countryside

- Car meets (New Online Feature)

You can take your car to a Car Meet and enter an online hangout, basically, where you can hang-out, you can socialize, you can meet new people, you can chat

- Car Clubs that can take up to 1000 people

The Horizon 2 team has also gone back to the drawing board on clubs, which now allow you to create clubs of up to 1000 players

- Online Traffic will be avaibable and it will be synchronized

and conditions and traffic are synced with an online session-in-progress

- Playground modes such as King and Infected are back


Location/Landscapes

- Game takes place all along the Southern Europe

From the foothills of the Alps, right down the Mediterranean Sea. From the rolling hills of Tuscany in Italy, across the border into France and beautiful Provence and the glamorous Côte d'Azur

- Horizon 2 has three times more roads and play space than the first game

it also has three times more driveable area; a three-times bigger play space

- All barriers and rails have been removed. You can drive wherever you want even if its not road

We’ve taken the view that, if there isn’t a barrier in the real-world, if there isn’t a wall, there shouldn’t be one in our game

Soundtrack

- The game will take place around another festival and music will play a big part of it
- DJ Rob Da Bank will create part of FH2´s playlist

Playground Games has once again enlisted the aid of BBC radio DJ Rob da Bank

- The other part is being choosen by two other independent music labels

The team are not announcing the labels at this stage, although Fulton did confirm two are from London and the other is from Los Angeles

- 8 Radio Stations available


Development

- Game runs at 1080P/30FPS on Xbox One

but he did confirm Forza Horizon 2 on Xbox One would display at 1080p and, like the original Forza Horizon, a locked 30 frames-per-second.

- The Xbox 360 version of the game is being developed by Sumo Digital on the original Forza Horizon Engine
- The Xbox One version of the game is being developed with FM5´s engine
