Great to hear from you Se7en! I can't wait to see how you and your car do when you return. My mom hates that I go to the track also. I have to hide my wristband from her sometimes.

I'm not going to run the entire season this year for SCCA. I figure I'll go Drag racing, Autocross, and Road Course time trial events this year.

I am changing the rear gears from 4.10's to 3.73's. I plan to drive to all of the events. Plan is to drive in, race, and then drive home, without having to do anything at the track except play with air pressure in the tires.

It cost me around $200.00 per event for gas for the tow rig to get the car to the events (13 events = $2600.00 just in gas to get to the events). The race car only used 1 1/2 tanks of fuel all season - less than 500 miles were put on the car all season.

If I break it at the track, I'll get a ride home, get the truck and car trailer, and then tow it home. Most of the tracks I plan on racing on are less than 1 hour from the house - exceptions being the Fest, and RTTH (Run through the hills, in TN).

Yup!! The weather looks good for tomorrow so I'm going. I checked the car out today to make sure everything was good. Has anyone had their CV bolts loosen. We torqued ours and put locktite, but mine came loose once before and today another was loose. Is this a normal part of tracking your car?

I don't race like you Dan, but I do the same thing and drive to the track. Breakdown's can always happen but it is a pain towing! Hope you have a great season. We are still considering if we will go to the fest this year. We might go, but will probably fly there and rent a car. But nothing's set in stone yet.

Goooooodmoooorning LPE Brotherhooood!

With spring in the air and everyone looking to getting back out on track I thought you might be interested in the latest alignment fashion trends. All the in people are using them

And depending on what mods you made over the winter you may need to time your bushes.

Bush Timing

Step 1. Lift the car on a two post lift and raise it.

Step 2. Loosen the following bolts/nuts:
Front:
---Inner Control Arm Bushing
---Inner Radius Rod
Rear:
---Trailing Arm Bushings (both ends)
---Toe Rod Bushings (both ends)
---Lower Control Arm Bushings (Inner)
---Upper Control Arm Bushings (Rearward)
---Lower Strut Bushings

Step 3.
Lower the car and drive it around the parking lot SLOWLY and on to the alignment lift.

Step 4.
With the weight of the car on the wheels tighten all of the nuts/bolts to spec.

Step 5.
Align the car at the new ride height.

Good to have the lastest info Pete! Interesting the toe change if full bushings done in the rear.... makes sense. As far as timing the bushings - is it correct that this isn't needed if all the OEM bushings have been replaced and properly lubricated?

Hello all!! It sounds like everyone is doing great. I had the chance to talk to Ken Lingenfelter & Mike Copeland at the SORC Winter Banquet near Lincoln, NE this weekend. It was great to see Ken again and to get to meet Mike also. It reminds you how great these guys are!! LPE is the best at what they do and I am proud to be part of the LPE Brotherhood. I also got to meet Bill Goldberg this weekend at the event and he is a really great guy and a "big" car guy as well. If anyone gets a chance to check out the Sandhills Open Road Challenge - it looks like a great event. http://www.sorcrace.com/

I am looking forward to coming up and seeing Ryan and the rest of the guys at LPE on March 12th when I bring the CTS-V up. It will be nice to have an LPE vehicle again!!

I would also like to see who may be attending the Lingenfelter Performance Nationals in Norwalk, OH this September. I am sure there will be a lot of LPE customers and cars there and it would be nice to hang out with you guys again.

The Lingenfelter Performance Nationals is being organized as a jam-packed weekend, featuring drag racing, autocross, car show, speed stop challenge, countryside cruise and a manufacturer's midway Sept. 21-23, 2012 at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio.

Hey I got to meet up with Pete and his great family for lunch this weekend. Pete brought his Denali over and just made me drive it.......it was harsh with all of the arm twisting. Anyway...that thing gets it! I never thought I would drive a vehicle that big and heavy and talk about how well it handles.....it is awesome!
Heck if he can make a Suburban handle like a stock Camaro, the CTSV is a cake walk.
