Question 1LE front splitter install 2014-2015??

Interested to see if anyone has installed #22997432 1LE front splitter on a Camaro LS/LT or SS, 2014-2015.

I am interested mostly in difficulty of installation and whether additional fasteners, etc. need to be purchased.

(I'm not looking for any noticable increase in performance. I'm also ONLY interested in the 1LE splitter... I realize the Z28 and aftermarket splitters are also available, but this is the one I want. Yes, I know how expensive it is.)

Thanks!!!

I believe the 1LE splitter comes with the hardware.

Has anyone done this install and want to comment on difficulty, need for paint, etc.?

Most online videos I Have seen on Camaro Splitter installs show it to take about 30 minutes. Mine took substantially longer as it is an OEM Z28 one, but the 1LE one has brackets, hardware and other items needed. Take your time, lay it out and go slow. Make sure it is square. Once you drill holes, you have drilled holes.

not a 2014-15 in this video but this is the same type of bracket used for the 1LE splitter, i believe. Also, the splitter won't fit on a LS/LT because the bumpers are different. Hope it gives you an idea of the install and helps you out.

I did mine by myself and I believe it took me about an hour and half. The splitter cane with all the hardware necessarie to install it. Like others have said, take your time and measure twice before drilling or attaching bracket.

I can't remember the sizes, but for what I remember, you will need a drill, drill bit and a rivet gun. The rivet gun can be bought at home depot , Lowe's or a auto parts store

If you buy a OEM splitter, it should tell you what you need

The gm splitter comes with mounting hardware, plastic clips that rivet to your bumper also a plastic template that puts them in right exact position. You have got to have these. Took me a couple hours because I'm picky but you want to take your time as always.

I have a oem splitter. I do not have the hardware or clips or whatever else it "comes with" because the splitter was given to me by a friend, who was in his 1LE that was hit and the insurance company replaced his entire front clip. The splitter has a very tiny scratch on it that I can make disappear with a little bit of elbow grease. Lol so I'm looking for any help on the hardware needed. Not the tools, just the hardware and templates.
