Wierd question, so just wrapped up my install of my longtubes and it was amazingly easy compared to the 4th gen's ive done in the past.
the wierd part though is my passenger front o2 sensor is about 3/4" short? Anyone else run into this? Headers bolted right up to the heads/ and to the off road extensions and the factory h-pipe all perfectly. Sitting the same height and distance as my drivers side ones, but for some reason the o2 sensor comes 3/4 of an inch short. its not hooked on anything and hanging straight from the factory plug to perfectly centered over the hole...

No Long Tubes for em yet....but there are Shorties!!!

Just make sure that the harness is routed the same way as before. They should fit right up and you should have enough left over that you should have to reroute it (like I showed above) or tie back. Post up a pic and I'll get you squared away sir! Thanks for the feedback everyone! Ivan |

thanks Ivan-
i ended up just unhooking the harness from the back of the heads and it gave it the extra 1" it needed to plug in- really weird there was no play at all on the passenger side O2. Just got back from a nice 3 AM test drive and im blown away. Haven't installed the new tune yet, but man- the throttle response is incredible. Amazing set of headers for the price- Install was super easy, quality was amazing and even with the O2 issue it only took 4 hours start to finish, and that was alone with no helping hands.

I know they aren't the LT's, but I promised a higher authority I wouldn't do anything to void my warranty. Anyone being in the same situation with warranty and or emissions, I would HIGHLY recommend the Doug Thorley Shorties ... They have made a world of difference in both power and sound matched with my FlowMaster catback.

GREAT PICS SLINGSHOT!!!
They look right at home there on your SS! People always complain about the power that they "dont" make....slap a set on and experience the drivability factor! A definite SOTP increase and the torque down low is exactly what these Camaros need! Good stuff gang! Thank you again, Ivan |
