lowering springs for rear only

has anyone thought about just lowering the rear 1 inch? i have front and rear set of bmr 1" lowering springs but i feel the front is low enough, would it hurt to lower the rear only? would it help for racing thats my main concern i race a lot of autocross?

Read the rules. We are mid-season right now which means no changes to suspension without changing classes typically.

And talking about lowering without knowing details about suspension travel and spring rates is kind of counter-productive. Lowering your center of gravity is always good, hitting bump stops is almost always bad. Most of the lowering springs out on the market are for "show". With rates that don't properly adjust for the loss of shock travel. I would post this in the track/racing forum on here and see from the hard-core track guys what works.

I'm stock so have nothing to offer other than that I've been here for 3 years and have read most of the suspension discussions and I haven't been impressed with spring rates other than the Z/28 package and what comes out of Detroit Speed.
