Talking Tickets...

I got my 7 tickets from the track and a bonus one on I-10 for beating a GT500 that wanted a piece of the Louisiana/Texas camarovan. He cut in our line just to mess with us and I took the bait. Beat all of my 1/4 mile speeds and radar showed 129. I did some major kissing up and florida trooper wrote it for 79 in a 70. He took off 50mph and saved me a trip to jail or court. Mustang kept going because cop wanted the winner. I am happy with the ticket, it was my first speeding ticket and I was surprised I made it 7 months. Had a blast a the fest and hope to see an even larger gathering in 2011.

Black livernois car? Saw a black camaro toast a clutch during the burnout and finish it off the line on the green.

Yea driving through GA was like going through an Autocross itself...........soo many frikkin tires everywhere!

At one point leaving the Fest, I think I was next to a semi, that had just blown a tire on the other side of the truck, I gunned it so I could get the hell outta there.

On the cruise, things seems a little hairy in a few places because the cops either were not at intersections or did not have the locals fully blocked.

On the way down, we used 84 to get from 95 to Valdosta. That road took forever with all the slowing down through the towns. Then in an area where it necked down to 2 lanes, some guy passed our Camaro, 26 FT trailer, and 25000 pickup around a bend. After that, we decided to go down through FL using RT 10 to get to 95..it was actually faster.

Gotta ask, was that you driving like you stole it in the autocross track?

I was sitting all the way over in the stands on the 1/4 mile watching a red fourth gen with stripes tearing it up.

I'd take an LS cobalt over my POS hyundai (yes, thats a trim level ) any day of the week. Round trip was just over 2200 miles.

That was me if it was between 2-3pm. Funny you mention watching me from the strip stands because over at the autocross the staging guy says to me "Didn't I just see you putting the beat down on cars over on the strip?".

There was a rattle coming from under the car right before you toasted it.... you think it might of been an installation error that killed it?

Really? What color was the GT500? Can any of your other caravan members corroborate your story? Video?
