I ordered it today - Silver Ice 2SS - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I ordered it today! Silver Ice/Black 2SS/RS L99. Dealer said it's the second "sold" SS and will be put in order system as soon as possible. (He may have a couple of V6's to order also.) Apparently, number of Mustang registrations in area affects "allocation" and this is in the middle of Mustang country (big Ford truck plants, as well as their HQ) so hopefully his allocation will allow a fairly early order acceptance. Dealer didn't sound like he was sure yet what his allocation will be, so didn't want to make any promises on timing, which is being honest, I believe. I (and my kids) have bought about twenty-five Chevys since 1981 from this dealer so have been promised best efforts.

I'll offer my Black '06 Monte Carlo for sale when more is known on dates. It is a sweet, low mileage (zero problems) car that will have less than 30,000 miles on it (I'm original owner). Maybe I can get some pointers on how to include a fews pics on this site. Anyway, the excitement builds!

He should have been able to access his Camaro allocation back in October. It sounds like you should be OK, but he should be able to tell you something like "You are #4 out of 12"

I ordered mine today too! I ordered the 2LT CGM RS Inferno Trim Pack, 6Auto, w/polished aluminum. Then I called the dealer back two hours later and upgraded to the 2SS! I feel so much better. Love Camaro5! I've learned much in the last 72 hours. My dealer had 11 spots and I'm number 9. It will be worth the wait!

Only 2 SS's sold since Oct? Is this a small dealership? If they have an average allocation of 12 to 15 or so you should be in good shap. Congrads!

Also ask the dealer how many SS's verse LS & LT's are in front of you.
You may be order #9 with all SS's in front of you and you may be in for a wait. Could also be 2 or 3 v6's if front of you making you the #6 SS. Maybe not as long of a wait.

I was so excited I forgot to ask. I did bring all my information that I got here.
My family thinks I'm going threw the "just turned 40" phase. My husband is the one that talked me into the 2SS. I was trying to be some what practical. My baby just left for college so what the hell right? I went for it! I just hope the world doesn't come to an end before I get to drive the damn thing!

I'm willing to wait for CGM! I also want to design an orange stripe to put on the bottom of the doors. Something minimal but graphic. It looks like I'll have plenty of time to do that!
